Clinton’s Olde Towne Depot Train Display Extended through January 3

Looking for the perfect post-Christmas family outing? Great news, the Olde Towne Depot's Train Display has been extended to January 3.

Visit the Olde Towne Depot through January 3, 2020 to see tons of model trains!

The Olde Towne Depot will be open on December 26, 27, 28, 30, 31 and January 2-3 for another opportunity to enjoy the magic of the model train exhibit.

The Depot will have many model trains on display, including HO scale, O gauge, and more. Stop by and watch these trains run and marvel at the intricate detail of the designs. Clinton Christmas Parade

Christmas Parade Logo 2019 COLOR.png The annual Clinton Chamber   Christmas Parade is back for   2019 with festive holiday fun   for the entire family on   December 7th at 10:00 a.m.!   This year's exciting theme is "A   Clinton Christmas Story". All   participants are encouraged to   either depict the iconic holiday movie classic, A Christmas Story, or share their own Clinton Christmas stories.

For many, the Christmas Parade signifies the start of the Christmas Season. Join us in welcoming the holidays to Clinton at this great festive event.

The parade route follows Clinton Boulevard west from Morrison Drive to East College Street, crosses the Parkway, and ends on West College Street by the steps leading up to the MC Quad. Arrive early to secure your preferred viewing point!

Yule Run Clinton

Join us December 7, 2019 at 7:30 A.M. at the corner of Capitol St. & W. College St. for Yule Run Clinton, a combined 10k run and 5k walk / run race. This holly-jolly-fun race is sure to get you and your loved ones festively dashing through the heart of Clinton's decorated downtown before relaxing to view the annual Christmas Parade.

Depot Christmas Tree Farm

Back again this year, the Olde Towne Depot will be selling farm grown Christmas trees. Stop by the Depot beginning Saturday, November 30 to pick out the perfect Christmas Tree and create a new fun tradition with your family!

THE POLAR EXPRESS PAJAMA PARTY

UPCOMING DATES: DECEMBER 12, 13, 14 • 6:00 PM

COST: $10.00 PER PERSON

The Second Annual Polar Express Pajama Party will be bigger and even better! Participants will enjoy a screening of the classic Christmas movie The Polar Express. Guests are encouraged to wear cozy pajamas to the party! New this year, The Polar Express Pajama Party will include a train ride on Turner the Train, surprise interactive segments, a visit from Santa, and a gift from Santa. Gingerbread House Competition

This year, Main Street Clinton and the Olde Towne Depot will host the first Gingerbread House Competition on Saturday, December 7! Gingerbread House.png
The competition will be divided into three separate categories: 1.) kids ages 12 and under; 2.) amateurs; and 3.) professionals, such as bakers and/or caterers. All ages and skill levels are welcome to participate. Participants may compete individually or as part of a team. Registration is required for this event, and the deadline for registration is Friday, November 29. Submissions must be delivered to the Depot by 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 7. Entries will be on display at the Olde Towne Depot and will be judged at 1:00 p.m. with awards presented shortly thereafter. Santa Claus Crawl

Kick off the season at Main Street Clinton’s 7th Annual Santa Claus Crawl, a fun holiday event showcasing some favorite Olde Towne businesses. The event will be held on Thursday, December 5, from 6:30 – 9:00 p.m. along the beautiful brick streets. 

The adult event includes a scavenger hunt-style tour from business to business in Olde Towne, with cider, hors d’oeuvres, music and door prizes. After purchasing a ticket, participants will visit each participating business, sampling cider and shopping, while looking for the answer to the business’s unique question. A correct answer enters guests in the drawing for a fun door prize from the business!

After visiting each business, the participants will gather at the Olde Towne Depot for hors d’oeuvres, live music, and a visit from Santa Claus, who will draw winners for the door prize giveaways. Turner the Train will also be offering rides during this time, shuttling guests around Olde Towne. A long-sleeved event tee shirt featuring the 2019 Santa will be available for purchase in advance of the event.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the event.  Tickets will be available for purchase on Nov. 8 in the Main Street Clinton office at the Olde Towne Depot.  Tickets may also be purchased online at www.mainstreetclintonms.org/santaclauscrawl. City Hall and the streets of Olde Towne will be the venue for Clinton to kick-off the holiday season. The city's official Christmas tree lighting will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, December 5, in front of City Hall. 

The choir performance and lighting will be followed by hot cocoa and cookies with Santa himself. Following the Tree Lighting, join Main Street Clinton for the Santa Claus Crawl.

The tree lighting event is free and is a great way to get into the Christmas spirit with a celebration appropriate for the entire family.
